Joseph Jarrard Obituary

North Augusta, SC-A riverside memorial service for Joseph Jarrard, 52, who entered into rest March 7, 2026, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock on the Savannah River. 163 Sandpit Road, North Augusta, SC 29841. Michael Jarrard will officiate the service. Immediately following the service, the family will host a low country boil and you are encouraged to bring your own chair.

Joe was a native of Columbia County, a 1992 graduate of Harlem High School, having made North Augusta his home for the past 20 years. He worked as a manager at Comcast for 18 years. Joe adored his Melissa Dale and fiercely loved his sons. He was a man who embodied strength, joy, and what it truly means to live life to the fullest. Joe's life was a victory. Through every adventure, every laugh, and every moment he spent showing those around him how to be strong, positive, and fully alive. He especially cherished the many adventures spent on the river, where he found peace, laughter, and time with the people he loved most. An avid Georgia fan, he proudly cheered on his team with unwavering loyalty. Music filled Joe's soul and was a constant rhythm in his life. He loved without hesitation and lived with a heart that left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his son, Chad Hargrove; his mother, Paula Faye Young; two brothers, Ricky Courtney and Christopher Jarrard.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Melissa Jarrard; two sons, Noah (Maggie) Jarrard and Elijah (Hannah) Jarrard; a granddaughter, Josie Jarrard; his parents Chester and Mary Jarrard; a sister, Sara Byce; several nieces and nephews.
