Gregory Jansen Obituary

Beech Island-Mr. Gregory Otto Jansen, 72, entered into rest March 6, 2026. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Jansen was a dedicated and loving father whose utmost priorities were to serve Yeshua, his Lord and Savior, and to ensure his daughter was provided and cared for; even in adulthood she was always will be his "baby girl." One of his proudest moments was being able to witness his daughter's wedding and give her away. Mr. Jansen graduated from Concordia Senior College in 1976 with a BA in liberal arts and a concentration in Hebrew. He worked at SRS for 15 years until being diagnosed with lymphoma and leukemia. After receiving medical treatment, he was able to continue working for several more years and went on to obtain his CDL and become a commercial truck driver. Mr. Jansen enjoyed being able to travel across almost all 50 states during his career and cherished the friendships and memories he made along the way.

He was a devout Messianic Jew and loved meeting with the Avinu Malkeinu congregation and leading Friday night service. Mr. Jansen was also a member of Congregation Beh Hallel in Atlanta and continued to enjoy watching services online when he was no longer able to travel. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Jansen and Matt Wilby; two sisters, Karen (Rob Pasco) Jansen Ditty and Vicki Fitzpatrick; a brother, John (David) Jansen; several nieces and nephews.
