Charles Baynham Obituary
AIKEN, SC - Charles H. Baynham, age 72, of Aiken, S.C., son of the late Alvin H. "Major" Baynham and the late Ruby R. Baynham, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.
He is survived by sons, Michael (Julie) Baynham of Aiken, S.C. and Stephen D. Baynham of Edgefield, S.C.; sisters, JoAnn (Glen) Davis and Cathy (Larry) Willing both of Aiken, S.C.; a brother, Buddy (Thelma) Baynham of Aiken, S.C.; grandchildren, Brittany (Josh) Holtsizer, Jacob Baynham, BryAnna Baynham and Balyn Baynham.
He was born in Panama City, Florida but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta, S.C. During his working years, he owned and ran his own Carpet Shop. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of The Vale Hunting Club and also enjoyed going fishing. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren with all his heart, and his family equally loved him. He has now left his family's side to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his family and many friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening, October 13th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating his life and home going, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Chris Brown and Rev. Glen Davis officiating. The interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Park in Aiken, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Brian, Robert and Ben Baynham, Troy Willing, Bruce Willing and Monroe Coffey. Keith Herron and Albert Jordan will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 620 Martintown Rd., North Augusta, S.C. 29841 or to Harvest Baptist Church, 1795 Reynolds Pond Rd., Aiken, S.C. 29805. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main St. Graniteville, S.C. 29829, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Our deepest condolences goes out to the entire Baynham family, Charles was one of the first people i met when we moved to Aiken and we loved him very much. I'm so sorry for your loss, he was an awesome man. May he rest in peace!

I have known the Baynham family since they lived on the same street as my sister & her family back in the 1950's.
My husband and the Baynham children grew up together. We use to go to church with Charles & his family at Bethel Baptist Church when our children were young.
My sympathy goes out to Buddy, JoAnn, Kathy, Mike, Steve & all the Baynham family.

I am still in shock, I just saw him at chemo...My prayers are with each and every one of the family members....Thank you Mrs. JoAnn Davis for being so good to your brother...I know how much Charles loved and appreciated his sisters....
I know how proud he was of his sons and would brag on his grandchildren.
I will miss him dearly but his memory will live on in the hearts of everyone that knew him..

Sorry for your loss guys. It's been a few years but I often ran into Charles at Mr. Jones place down the street. Occasionally the older guys would meet there at the end of the day, just by chance to have a real Small Coke in the bottle. I Learned a great deal about past events in Aiken from him. Sadly, we lose another who had firsthand knowledge of that past. Rest in peace Old Man, you earned it. Thank you.

I will miss Mr. Charles dearly !!! He was a great and funny man. I got to know him through his granddaughter Brittany. He would always cater lunch to our school Wardlaw Academy. He always knew how to brighten up my worst days !!! I especially remember the first time I met him and he found out Brittany and I was good friends he told me to call him Papa Charles also.
