Mr. Jose "Pepe" Navascues
Aiken - Mr. Jose Navascues, 85, of Aiken, SC, companion of 57 years to Barbara Bachmann, entered into rest on Friday, February 6, 2026.
As a native of Cuba, he came to the United States many years ago and has spent most of his life here. For many years, he was a dance instructor and eventually ended up in Aiken, SC. He worked in the language department at Aiken Tech and with the El Augustino and Hola Augusta publications. His two sons and their families survive him. José Navascues Jr. y César Navascues.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 1 o'clock in the chapel of St. John's Methodist Church, Aiken, SC.
