James Foloky Obituary

James "Jim" Charles Foloky, 60, of Greenville, SC, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025.
Born in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Charles Foloky and Veronica Gragido Foloky.
Jim was an extremely caring, loving, and dedicated husband, son, brother, and father. He was a man of great faith, incredible selflessness, and unconditional love. He had a great sense of humor and was unwaveringly loyal. In retirement, Jim could usually be found sitting in his favorite armchair in front of the TV, watching sports or reruns of his favorite crime shows. He greatly enjoyed cooking, baking, and keeping his lawn trimmed to perfection. He was an avid fan of both the Chicago Bears and the Cubs, as well as the Iowa Hawkeyes-his alma mater.
Jim is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cathy Foloky; six children, Jason Smith, Mandi Porcoro, Kalie Porcoro, Nathan Porcoro, Kaleb Porcoro, and Jordan Porcoro; three sisters, Terese (Rob), Lynn (Patrick) and Jeanne (Thomas); mother-in-law, Frances Bridgman; brother-in-law, Mark (Corinne) and Mitchell; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The recitation of the Rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. followed by a visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Boystown at www.boystown.org.
