I met Joe in 1966 when I accepted a job at First National Bank in Columbia. He was a pleasure to work with and for. He was always soft spoken. After I left the bank, whenever Joe and I ran into each other, he would always stop and chat. Later I became a member at St. Andrews Baptist Church and met Joe's brother, David, and wondered if they were twins. I saw Joe on the occasion when he visited our church with David for some special music or program. He was always such a gentleman. Sorry for his loss.

My sincere condolences to Joy and family. Remembering the wonderful times at the Cousins Ackerman reunions Mary Ann arranged. So sad when we lose our absolute soul mate.
Thinking of the family,
