Edward Rana Obituary

Edward Bordas Rana, age 75, of Pawleys Island, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

He was born October 27, 1950 in Alexandria, VA, a son of the late Pelagio & Helen Bordas Rana. Ed married the love of his life, Sally on June 23, 1973 and they moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where they lived and had their three children, Rachael, Matthew and Paul. He graduated from Grand Canyon University with his masters and specialized in securities where he was able to travel investigating fraud. Ed retired in 2012 and him and Sally traveled the world with camera in hand. Ed had a passion for photography and his work is even displayed at the art gallery in Georgetown.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Paul Rana; granddaughter, Tiffany Rana; great-grandson, Bentley Rana; sister, Barbara Stoutenburgh; brother, Larry Rana and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Chandler.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sally Rana; daughter, Rachael Robinson and her husband Glen; son, Matthew Rana and his wife Amanda; grandchildren, Zachary Robinson, Ava Rana, Cyrus Rana, Sol Rana, and Forest Rana; a sister-in-law, Mary Rana and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
