Sharon Simmons Obituary

Sharon O'Kresik (Metz) Simmons peacefully passed away on March 27, 2026 at her home in Beaufort, SC.

She was born on August 28, 1950 in Sharon, PA to Chester and Irene O'Kresik. Sharon attended Sharpsville High School and graduated in 1968.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Irene O'Kresik, her sister, Bonnie Beale and her first husband Jerry Metz.

Sharon is survived by her twin sister, Stephanie Post, second husband, Jerry Simmons and her children, Brady (Drea) Rothgeb, David Metz, Alicia (Hank) Strickland and step children, Amy (Brad) Cunningham, Steve (Kelly) Simmons and Richie (Stacey) Simmons as well as her grandchildren Beck, Carly, Alex, Jordan, Kyle, Nick, Zach, Gillian, Delaney, Heath and Jack.

Sharon and her loving husband of 32 years moved to the Lowcountry in 2002. She enjoyed spending her time with her husband and family especially during the holidays. She enjoyed cooking, baking, watching cooking shows as well as baking pies for family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by her loving spouse, children and grandchildren.
