David Raines Obituary

David Clyde Raines, 76, of Garnett, SC, died Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at NHC Healthcare in Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 9:30am at Anderson Funeral Home, then will process to the Beaufort National Cemetery for a graveside service at 11 A.M with military honors. Mr. Raines was born on November 16, 1948 in Greenville, SC. He is the son of the late John Newton Raines and Junior Mae Greenway Raines. David loved life and his family. He never met a stranger and could make conversation with anyone. If you didn't leave laughing after talking to him there was something wrong. He always was cracking jokes, smiling, and making others laugh. He was a mighty man of God who loved the Lord and made sure his family knew the Lord as well. He will greatly missed and his memory will be cherished. Surviving are his wife, Kim D. Raines; two sons, John David Raines and Jordan Raines; one daughter, Addison Raines; two brothers, Billy Raines and Donnie Joe Raines; two grandchildren Eddie and Hannah Grace. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that was very close to his heart.
