Georgie and All the Snipe Family -
Although I did not know Richie, just the expressions of love that come from his Sister,Georgie makes me know that he was a fine person.
As time passes God always helps us heal from the loss of our loved ones that we know are now resting in our Heavenly Father's mansion above -- all free from care, worry, pain and suffering.
Richie is yet another one of God's children who has been called home.
And, to all his family and friends the chain that now is broken one by one will link again.
My condolences to all the family.

LORD, I lift up to you the family of Richie Snipe.
Father, I pray you will wrap your loving arms around this family and hold them close as they mourn the loss of their beloved Richie. May they be comforted in knowing that you not only count but also feel each tear that is shed.
Jesus, Great Comforter, the love this family has for Richie is exceeded only by the love you have for him. As they turn to you, may you grant them strength and peace of mind in knowing that Richie is in your presence.
Holy Spirit, be with each one in this family. May their thoughts and memories of Richie become a celebration of his life.
Thank you God for your precious child that you shared with them.
Glory to you Great God. Amen

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. (Matthew 5: 9)

This is the most difficult time for us. I am asking God to continue to give us strength to get through this difficult time. Memories of Richie linger in the minds of all of us who knew and loved Richie. We are all better for knowing him. If heaven can be more heavenly, it already is! After all, Richie is there.
Someone once said, upon the death of a loved one, "God finally caught his eye."
God finally caught Richie's eye and beckoned him home for a well-deserved, eternal rest.
It's hard to understand why someone that we love so dearly have to die. There are some things in life that make us sad and the death of a love makes us very sad.
But you know what? I'd like you to remember all the fun you had with Richie. And I hope that you thank God for giving you and Richie those special times together.
To my family, our grief is understandable and necessary. As difficult as it may be just now, however, please try to remember with joy and gratitude the life you shared together with Richie. So many people spend their entire lives without experiencing a loving, trusting relationship. Your life has been enriched!
Richie was truly one of God's blessings in my life.
I will never forget the times that we shared together as brother and sister. We had a understanding about each other that no one else shared. You knew when I hurt and I knew when you were hurting. I will miss the Birthday dates that we shared every year and the Mother's Day surprise that you would spring on momma when no one esle knew that you were coming home but me.
I had plans to bring you home to rest for a little while. And when you got better, take you back home. I did get to bring you home, but it was a different plan from the one that God had. He wanted you here for good.
I will always love and cherish the memories that you and I share together being that we were both the youngest in the family.
I love you.
Georgie.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

It's a lot that can be said about Richie. The time that stands out the most in my adult life was We went to visit Richie at the hospital. He said to me "TC don't come in here trying to save me". We all fell out laughing. Richie was always just being Richie. Talk about being missed. Taking those trips to Savannah to visit you. God loan you to us for a long time. We had plenty of laughs together. To know that you didnt suffer is more satisfying deep within my soul than anything. To the rest of the family, we will miss you and someday we'll see you, but no rush.God Bless, TC

Ritchie wore a pleasant smile filled with laughter and happiness. From our high school years until his departing, he was always the same.
God knows all our pain and sorrow but we know that He never makes mistakes. We loved him,but God loved him more. We will keep your family in our prayers.

Uncle Richie,

Speechless thoughts run throughtout my mind. It seems unreal but at the same time, I know when it's time for us to go home we have to leave. The fondest memory I have is the look you had when you woke up from your bed in the back of the house. You will be missed and sorry this is what had to bring our family back together as one, but God does everything in order and to work out for the good in the favor of those who love him.

Family,

My prayers are with you all and I pray and know everything will be alright. God Bless and I love you all. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.

Richie, my memories of you are rooted in your lightheartedness. The time we spent under the same roof on Alma Street, when I was a child and you were a young adult, produced memories that will remain with me forever. I sat on the sidelines then, waiting to hear one of your sly and comical comments. You had an audience of one probably more times than you realized.

I recall very distinctly how you were determined to be a person of your own creation; not willing to bend, but to live life on your own terms. As an adult now, I understand the importance of defining oneself for oneself and not being defined by others. My uncle, my brother ... thank you for the memories that will always give way to a chuckle and a smile.

May you rest in peace ...

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
