Larry Driggers
Hanahan - Larry Thomas Driggers, 78, of Hanahan, SC, was called home to heaven on January 29, 2026, while at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 5, 1947, in Charleston, SC, to parents Dorothy (Dot) Dora and (AT) Arthur Thomas Driggers. He grew up in Park Circle, N. Charleston until 1969 when he married the love of his life, Sallie Jane Garvin Driggers. He and Sallie raised three children, Tad, Jacob, and Ramey, in Hanahan, SC. Larry worked as an accountant at The Navy Shipyard for 26 years, where he was fondly known as "The Auditor Man" retiring in 1995. For most of his life Larry cherished time in the North Carolina mountains, especially Camp Crestridge and Ridgecrest. He volunteered for many summers and became a familiar, welcoming presence. Hosting family and friends at Tad's Cabin was one of his greatest joys. Larry was a faithful member of Highland Park Baptist Church, serving in many roles with a willing heart. He treasured time with his grandchildren, especially Sunday dinners, sports games, and working on projects together. Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Sallie; son, Jacob (Isabel); daughter, Ramey Driggers-Schutz; his sister, Alivia Stancil (Jerry); Grandchildren: Willa, Abbott, and Eva Schutz, as well as Corbin, Palmer, and Rowan Driggers. Preceded in death by son Thomas (Tad) Driggers. Larry's celebration of life will be February 12, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Highland Park Baptist Church, 6211 Murray Dr., Hanahan, SC 29410. The family will receive friends and neighbors an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Larry and Sallie Endowment Fund through Camp Crestridge Alumni and Friends

This is sad for us and Larry family. My prayers and prayed that the Holy Spirt confronts us.
When Larry and I were at North Charleston High School we used to tell everyone we were twins. Larry was always special and kind. There is no doubt that he is with Jesus and I know Jesus is saying well done my good and faithful servant. Praise God for Larry´s life and his witness.
