Sylvia Bush N. Charleston - Sylvia Marie Taylor Bush, 85, of North Charleston, entered into eternal rest on April 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 18, 1935 in Key West, Florida to L. Mayfield Spencer and Federico Taylor. Sylvia worked at the College of Charleston Library and retired from the MUSC Library. She loved her family, friends and church. She loved buying gifts for everyone. She was a kind, loving Mother, Grandmother and Aunt with a giving heart. Many thought of her as a second mother. She was always ready to lend an ear to anyone who needed love, advice, or just someone to talk to. She will be greatly missed by so many. Sylvia is survived by her children: Shari Clark (Randy), Bruce Rourk, Mike Rourk (Bobby Jean), and Audra Rourk. Grand-children: Jimmy, Shannon, Amanda, Trenton, and Brandy. Sylvia also had 9 great-grand-children, many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation (Goose Creek). The service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Ave, Goose Creek, SC 29445.
