Rhett Hutto
St. George, SC - Rhett Appleby Hutto, 49, of St. George, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 13, 2025. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Edisto Beach Marina at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow the service at the marina. All are welcome.
Rhett was born April 15, 1976, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Michael and Ann Hutto. He grew up in St. George, South Carolina surrounded by many dear family and friends. His family then moved to Edisto Beach during his teen years, and he graduated from Country Day School. Rhett attended College of Charleston where he was active in the Kappa Alpha fraternity.
Rhett loved his son, App, deeply along with his family and friends. He also loved the Lowcountry and everything it offered from fishing to hunting. Other loves included music, USC Gamecocks' sports teams, and the Atlanta Braves.
In addition to his parents, Rhett was predeceased by his brother, Mich. He is survived by his son, Rhett Appleby Hutto, Jr. (App), of Pawley's Island, SC, his niece and nephew, Katharine and Michael Hutto, of Summerville, SC, and many other beloved family members.
