Dr Wallace and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I don`t know how you feel but I do know how I feel as I have lost a son in a devastating way as well.The death of a child is an impossible grief and viewed as the greatest of all tragedies.
I have joined a grp in Jackson called The Compssionate Friends..An organization for families who have experienced the death of a child. When you feel like it , this group understands completely. Don`t rush anything tho @ this point as it took me 5 months after my son`s passing to attend my first meeting.
Know that you are not a lone in this grief journey.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. It's so tragic when a parent loses a loved one, but it's devastating to lose a child first. We always feel our Children should outlive us, but sometimes it's not meant to be. I wish I could have known your son. He sounds awesome. The obituary is just beautiful and will bring tears to your eyes. Hold onto to Psalm 86:6,7 "Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of supplications. In the day of my trouble I call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me". Also, think of Revalations 21:10-21...know that your son is in heaven, with God, and walking the streets of gold.

Not sure if I knew Matt, but being that he was a student at the Palmer Campus of TTC, I know I must have seen him many times in the Bookstore/Business Office. Want to encourage you to look to the Lord during this time of sorry and for comfort read Psalm 37:5 "Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him and He shall bring it to past. Know that help is only one pray away and God is there to carry the heavy load.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Matt is such a great kid and was there for my daughter, Kaela when she lost her sister. He was always at the house right there with her. Please know that I am praying for strength as you head down the road of recovery and understanding. He is in Heaven and he is watching over all of you and if you need him, he is right there ....

I will never forget Matt. He lived around us and now within us all. I was blessed to have gotten to meet him. We all love you Matt and miss you dearly.

He was a very little boy when Ryan attended Trident, so I did not really know him, but it sounded like he grew up to be a very caring, sensitive young man who was deeply loved.
