Dear Ellen and Ben, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your sweet mother. I have many great memories of her from grade school and in past years of running in to her at the pharmacy where we would catch up and visit. I have been out of town this week and hated to miss the service. Please know that you all have been in my thoughts this week.

Mary was classmate at St Joseph's nursing school. She was one of the 4 of us that traveled together. Mary,Cecilia,Barbara and me. We spent many hours together laughing, crying and becoming more like sisters everyday. So many memories shared. After she was housebound we would still talk on phone. I will miss her. May she rest in peace!

Mary was a classmate @ BE, 61. mary was also my cousin on the Maternal side, Burn. My mother was raised by her paternal grandmother, thus I knew very little of the Burn side.
My 1st memory of Mary was @ BE when she came up to me & said hello Cous, ( I was oblivious) which she greeted me with every time I saw her through out the years.
I know she had a lengthy illiness, so now she is in a better place.
Give yourself time to process what has happened. Time sweet time. RIP
Janet Dawkins Poole, BE 61

I worked with Mary in the out patient clinic at MUSC in 1978-80. She was wonderfully kind to me, the "newbie" nurse. Other people may have come and gone but she has stayed with me. You must be proud to think of all of the lives she has touched and I hope those thoughts will ease your sorrow.

Quoting what Mary wrote in my yearbook of 1964 " Although the class of 64 will be separated in a week and probably never be all together again-our memories will live on."
With that in mind may your memories of the wonderful times you shared with Mary be a source of love and comfort today and always.
