LaVerne Bell Obituary

LaVerne Morgan Bell LODGE, SC - Mrs. LaVerne Morgan Bell, 87, of Lodge, entered into eternal rest Thursday morning, September 26, 2013 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Robert James "Bob" Bell. Funeral services will be held 11 o'clock, Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Ashton Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Bell was born August 13, 1926 in Baltimore, Maryland and was a daughter of the late Harry Morgan and Carrie Wise Morgan. She was a faithful member of Ashton Baptist Church, where she was the church treasurer for over 30 years, served as a Sunday School Teacher, Bible study leader and Missions leader. She loved to travel and enjoyed nature, especially watching her birds. Most of all, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Surviving are: her children, David Bell and his wife Peggy of Beech Island, Tom Bell and his wife Alice of Lakeville, Minnesota, Lois Jones and her husband Vernon of Islandton, Karen Fogle and her husband Danny of Lodge, and Kathy Ryan and her husband Shot of Ehrhardt; sister-in-law, Joyce Bell of Laport, Texas; brothers-in-law, Virgil Bell of Fruitland Park, Florida and Weldon Bell and his wife Gwen of Mountain City, Tennessee; 17 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Benjamin Dan Fogle. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 until 8 at THE BRICE W.
