Rose Brinson Obituary

Rose Ann Pratt Brinson, age 94, of Moncks Corner, SC, passed away at her home on Wednesday. Born on December 18, 1931, she was the daughter of John Pratt and Bertlee Sweat Pratt.

A devoted member of Cordesville First Baptist Church, Rose spent her life in service to her family and community. She worked alongside her husband, Henry A. "Topsy" Brinson, as a bookkeeper for his bulldozer company, and found joy in preparing traditional southern comfort food for her loved ones. Rose cherished tending to her flower beds, watching and feeding crows in her yard, and spending countless hours fishing from the banks.

She is survived by her sister, Patsy VanAllen (Nick) of Cordesville; a special niece, Karen Brown (Robert) of Moncks Corner; a special great-niece, Jessica Brown of Moncks Corner; numerous other nieces and nephews; and her special handyman, P.J. Wright. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral services will be held graveside at 3:00 PM on Sunday afternoon, March 15, 2026, at Cordesville First Baptist Church Cemetery, with interment to follow, directed by Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Cordesville First Baptist Church, 1913 Hwy 402, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
