Harold Dangerfield Obituary

Harold William Dangerfield, 75, of Bonneau, SC, passed away Sunday morning at his home. Born on November 11, 1950, in Hartsville, SC, he was the son of Harry H. Dangerfield and Margaret Louise Timmons Dangerfield. Harold spent most of his career as a long-distance truck driver but also worked with local companies such as Ward Trucking and Sanders Brothers Construction. He was proud of his profession and formed many lasting friendships along the way.

Harold found joy in yard work, fishing, and woodworking-crafting birdhouses and swings being amongst his specialties. He also enjoyed building go-karts and tinkering with lawnmowers and old cars. Indoors, he liked watching NASCAR races and classic westerns. A devoted animal lover, especially toward dogs, Harold cherished time spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Abbie Winningham Dangerfield; daughters, Cathy Driggers and Betty Jo Driggers, both of Bonneau; son, Richie Dangerfield and his wife Sylvia of Moncks Corner; sisters, Elaine Kollars of Charleston and Patricia Lemieux and her husband Frenchie of Moncks Corner; brothers, Michael Dangerfield and his wife Arlene and Jimmy Dangerfield, all of Bonneau, Danny Dangerfield and his wife Terry of Moncks Corner, and Larry Dangerfield of Live Oak, FL; grandchildren Ashley Driggers (Sarah), April Driggers (Steven), Justin Dangerfield (Mary), and Kaitlyn Dangerfield (Daniel); as well as ten great grandchildren, with another expected soon.

Harold will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His kindness, dedication, and zest for life leave an enduring legacy for those whose lives he touched.
