I always held Gene in high regard. Throughout high school and college I counted him as one of my best friends.
Although Gene and I saw each other only a few times after we left college those brief encounters we had at our high school reunions only confirmed that regard.

I am sorry that he is gone.

Gene was a exceptional MAN. Loved by many. Ron loved to go fishing with him. Last March he and Gene spent the afternoon just talking and fishing. What a blessing that he had the time with Gene. Our two Grandsons loved him. To them he will always be Captain Gene. Greatly missed by all.
