Lots of wonderful memories with Fred and Ellie over the last 50 years. The Horlbeck family summered in Mt Pleasant next door to the Freeman family when Fred was a boy, and the 7 Freeman brothers held them
In high esteem. Fred and Ellie took my sister and I on our first yachting adventure on the “Four Belles” in the early 70s and taught us a lot about boating and fishing.
It was always a joy to be in their presence.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Fred Horlbeck, a gentleman of the old school. He was on my speed dial for information about his distinguished ancestors.

Very sorry to learn of the loss to the community. Mr. Horlbeck was very passionate about preserving the farmlands and rural life for future generations during the times he would push for common sense solutions to help the community. Prayers for his family and many friends he made.
