My father, Tom Zug, introduced me to Ellie and Fred years ago. I so enjoyed visiting them in Rhode Island during my years at Wellesley College between 1966 and 1970. I do remember disagreeing with them in 1969 when I stopped attending classes at Wellesley College to protest the Vietnam War. They did not consider this a good way to protest. I recall with fondness celebrating Fred's 80th birthday in South Carolina with Ellie and my dad and Harry French. Ellie and Fred were such loving friends, although we did not see them nearly enough after they moved to South Carolina.
Hugs, Winkie
