David Perry Obituary

David Reis Perry CHARLESTON - David Reis Perry died at the young age of 51 on December 18, 2024. David was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1973. He was the son of the late Charles and Evelyn Perry, the founders of Carolina Sound Communications, and moved to Charleston when he was eleven. David graduated from Porter-Gaud school in 1991. He graduated from Emory University with a Pre-Med degree in 1995 and went to work for his parents' business. David was a well-known and respected professional as the President of Carolina Sound Communications Company. He was an avid outdoors man. He loved taking friends and family fishing on his boat or just cruising in the Charleston harbor. David was a fine marksman and happily shared the rewards of many hunting trips with others. He was a man of many talents, but always had time to help a friend in need. As David's parents' health declined, he was their caregiver. He was the best father; teaching his children hunting and fishing skills, supporting them in their grade school sports and activities, taking them to Clemson and LSU football games, and he always had time to make them laugh. David was a loving and kind fiance;, and they were a truly happy couple with many wonderful plans for the future. He was a trusted and loyal friend to many. David always made time to spend with his family and dear friends. David loved life. He attended Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church with his fiance; and her daughter. David is survived by his daughter, Jessica Layne Perry and her fiance;, Deputy Patrick Harris Spedale of New Orleans, LA; his son, Reis Alexander Perry of Clemson, SC; David's fiance;, Alexandra Fisher Muller, her daughter, Penelope Charlotte Muller, and her parents, Camille and Paul Fisher all of Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 28, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. David's funeral service will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024 in Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, 302 Hibben Street at 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Can´t believe a year has already gone by. His daughter got married and I know he was right there with you. I keep thinking of the love his Bubba Bertl had for him.?He was a light in her life. Now Bubba, Mom and his Dad have "their light with them". They will ALL SHINE THEIR LIGHT , BACK TO YOU ALL. Live life to the fullest,,just like he did.

I was heartbroken when told of Dave´s passing. Dave was the most fun and generous man and a wonderful father! He loved his son and daughter to the moon and back! I´m so glad he was a part of my life. I´ll never forget the day myself and two of my BOSE colleagues went to visit his grandmother in MI with flowers, and Dave thought that was the greatest, he talked about it for years. We had fun looking at all his cars in Charleston and hanging out at his house. He loved his race car and would always give it a rev up for us. Though Dave is no longer on this earth, Dave is in our hearts. Til we meet again, RIP my friend.

I met David and his children Jessica and Reis, when they came up to visit their Grandmother at Fox Run. He was so kind, loving and giving. They made her days when they came into town. David´s call to check on her, were filled with such caring compassion. He ALWAYS went out of his way to talk to me about her and his late mother. I know he will be sorely missed by all that knew him. I sent his children much love and light. A bright star here on this earth has dimmed but will forever shine bright above. Rest In Peace!!
