Beverly Hoover Obituary

Beverly Hoover Charleston - Beverly L. Hoover, 92, passed away in her home in Charleston South Carolina, on June 2, 2021. Beverly was born on March 12, 1929, in Jaffrey, New Hampshire, to William and Amanda Lessard. She attended the University of New Hampshire and met her husband, John "Jack" Hoover, during a summer semester. Upon graduation she was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency to work in Washington, D.C. She later married Jack and began a career teaching. Beverly traveled the world accompanying Jack on multiple business trips. They retired to Seabrook Island South Carolina having spent vacations there for decades. She is survived by her son, John Hoover; her daughter, Liza Hoover; her grandchildren, Carol Gagnon, Tierney Jautze, John Hoover and Amanda Chkir; her great-grandchildren, Yaseen Chkir, Ryder Jautze, Knox Hoover and Layla Chkir. A private family service will be held in her honor. Donations can be made to Sea Island Habitat for Humanity, Johns Island, South Carolina. Palmetto Cremation Society, N. Charleston is assisting.
