SWANSON, Alice Entered into eternal rest on the morning of January 12, 2009, Alice McRitchie Swanson, wife of Arthur M. Swanson. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur M. Swanson are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter, Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at two o'clock in St. Philip's Episcopal Church. Interment, Churchyard. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Tuesday between five and seven o'clock. Mrs. Swanson was born September 22, 1924 in San Diego, CA, the daughter of Captain David Garrick McRitchie, USN and Clara Margaretta Pringle. She was a graduate of Ashley Hall and attended The College of Charleston. She was a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church, The Junior League of Charleston, Ladies Benevolent Society, Carolina Assembly and Colonial Dames of the State of South Carolina. She is survived by her husband of 60 years of Charleston, SC; four sons: Stephen E. Swanson of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Arthur P. Swanson of Johns Island, SC, Robert A. Swanson of Columbia, SC, and David M.
