Tamara Cannon
Aiken, SC - Mrs. Tamara Wyshywany Cannon, 82, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026.
Tamara was born in Chodoriw, Ukraine, daughter of the late Vasily Wyshywany and Myroslava Mushkewych Wyshywany. She moved to the United States on March 17, 1948, and grew up in New York City. She married the love of her life, Dr. Jack Russell Cannon, and the two of them moved to Aiken in 1979. She was a professor of foreign languages at the University of South Carolina Aiken, and was fluent in six different languages. Tamara was a member of the Pine Needle Garden Club, Partners in Friendship, and Alliance Francaise of Aiken. She was also a member of All Saints Anglican Church.
In addition to her husband of 57 years, Jack, she is survived by her sister, Soriana Mohuchy; and two nieces, Sophia and Tamara Mohuchy.

Services will be held privately.
