Robert Powell Obituary
GRANITEVILLE - Robert Perry Powell, age 63, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
Robert was born November 21, 1954 to Lorie Powell Storey and the late Milledge Powell. He was a life-long area resident and worked for Kimberly Clark Corporation. He loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. Robert was an avid Gamecock fan and the highlight of his life was being a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his father, Milledge, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Timmerman. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Susan Powell; his mother, Lorie; two daughters, Jennifer Powell, Graniteville, SC and Rebekah Cates (Nicholas), Warrenville, SC; and one grandson, Kamden Cates.
Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at George Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2018 in Bethany Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ben W. Taylor, Ben O. Taylor, Nicholas Cates, Don Cheeks, Steve Garner, and Bobby Timmerman.
The Historic George Funeral Home, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234), has charge of arrangements.

Robert train me on my first job at KC. He was a wonderful man who loves God. I'm sorry to hear he has passed but he is with God now looking down onus and saying don't cry I'm with God and some day we will meet again. God bless the family.

Susan and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss! I never met your husband and only met you one time when we were both walking in the neighborhood, we are neighbors!
