Lonnie Driggers Obituary

Lonnie Lee Driggers
RIDGE SPRING - Lonnie Lee Driggers, 73, went Home to his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, July 14, 2021. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 19th, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Steve Hall and Rev. C.B. Turner will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Alex Willis, Richard Deason, Davy Brunson, Billy McCurry, Danny Holley and Charles McCormick.
Mr. Driggers was born in Aiken County, a son of the late Coye Lee and Pauline Foley Driggers. He was a member of Johnston Church of God. Mr. Driggers was a humble, patient and humorous man. He loved the Lord and was an avid prayer warrior. One of his favorite things to do was to play the guitar and sing with his wife, Carrie. Although he had been confined to a wheelchair since 1977, he was never really confined. He was a loving husband, father, PaPa, brother, uncle and good friend.
Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Carrie Lee Driggers; children, Christine Deason (Richard), Michael Driggers; and grandchildren, Matthew and Kara Deason. Also surviving are his siblings, Mary Ann Brunson (Davy), Randolph Coye Driggers (Lois); and beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Martin Driggers.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Sunday, July 18th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation, Paralyzed Veterans of America or the Gideon's International.

My sincerest regards to Carrie and his family. He had been long-time friend that I had unfortunately and regretfully missed visiting.
