Lena Stokes Obituary
NEW ELLENTON - Mrs. Lena Mixon Stokes, age 78, of 305 Hickory Ave., entered into eternal rest on Tuesday February 4, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday February 13, 2025 at Four Mile Missionary Baptist Church, (Viewing 12-1 PM) 601 Jackson Ave, New Ellenton. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Lena leaves to cherish many memories: her loving husband of 60 years, Charlie Stokes, Sr.; daughter, Charlene Stokes-Geter; son, Charlie Stokes, Jr.(Rashelle); four sisters, Rosa Mixon, Willie Mae Valentine (Earl Sr.), Tonya Odom, and Elizabeth Morton(Tony); three brothers, Donald Hill(Hiawanuis), Torrence Hill, and Benjamin Mixon(Betty Jean); five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and loving friends. Lena was a loyal employee of Owens Corning Fiberglass for over 39 years. Friends may call the residence or visit JACKSON-BROOKS CHAPEL, 606 Main St., New Ellenton, SC 29809, Wednesday from 2-7 PM. The family will greet friends at the Chapel from 3-4 PM.
