Kathy Piazzi Obituary

Hepzibah, GA – Graveside Funeral Service for Kathy Piazzi, 66, who entered into rest January 24, 2026, will be conducted Friday afternoon, January 30th, at 2 o'clock in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, January 29th, from 5 until 7 o'clock.

Kathy was born July 10, 1959, to the late Worth Potter, Jr. and Kathleen Ruth Weaver Potter. A native of Wilmington, NC, she made Augusta, GA her home as a teenager, graduating from Glenn Hills High School, and has made Hepzibah, GA her home for the past 25 years. Kathy was a skilled seamstress, owning and operating her alterations business, Hattie Anne's, for many years before her retirement. She appreciated music, especially piano, and found great peace playing the piano at home and in church. Kathy was a faithful member of the Waynesboro Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bruce Piazzi. Surviving family members include five sons, Jonathan Piazzi, Matthew Piazzi (Elizabeth), Joseph Piazzi, Timmy Piazzi, and Gregory Piazzi; three daughters, Hanna Riley (Jamie), Savannah Piazzi, and Emily Piazzi; three sisters, Danita Walker, Lois Schaalje (Bruce), and Sandra Stuart; and four grandchildren.
