Gary Vest Obituary
SUMMERVILLE - Mr. Gary Robert Vest, 65, of Summerville, SC, husband of Brenda Vest, passed away on May 3, 2018. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family.
He was born in Birmingham, AL and raised in Huntsville, AL. He was a man of integrity who loved God, his family, nation, and the AL Crimson Tide. He provided honor and respect to fellow law enforcement officers and every badge he wore. He served as Chief, operations branch, Federal Protective (FPS) Srvs, GSA; physical security specialist, US Dept. of Energy, SRS; and law enforcement officer, Huntsville AL Police Dept.
He was the cornerstone of his family and will be truly missed by his wife, Brenda Vest; sons David Vest, Sierra Vista, AZ and Eric Vest, Summerville, SC; daughter, Melinda Vest, Albany, GA; brothers David Vest and wife Annie of Victoria BC; Michael Vest and wife Pam, Winter Park, FL. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Curnutt Vest; his father, Wilburn L. Vest, and daughter-in-law, Donica Vest. ARRANGEMENTS BY JAMES A.
