Ralph Owens Obituary

Ralph Owens, a beloved father,grandfather,husband,brother and friend, passed away on January 21, 2026 at the age of 87. He left this world surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy that will live on through the many lives he touched.

Born on May 1, 1938 in Ogdensburg, NY, Ralph was known for his kind heart, quiet strength, subtle sense of humor, work ethic and generosity. He believed deeply in family, honesty, hard work, and helping others, and he lived those values every day-not through grand gestures, but through consistency, hard work, and care.

As a father, he was supportive, patient and protective. He taught by example, showing what it meant to be a good person. His guidance, stories, and lessons will remain with his family forever

He is survived by his brother Charles Owens of Gouverneur,NY, daughter Diane Owens of Myrtle Beach, SC, daughter Jill Miller of Bloomingdale, NY and her husband Todd Miller and two grandsons Michael and Tyler, daughter Rebecca Lynn Horton, grandson Stephen St. Denis and granddaughter Ashley Horton who will miss him deeply and honor his memory every day. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley and his parents George and Alice.

Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the time we shared with him. His love, strength, and spirit will continue to guide us, and he will forever be remembered and cherished.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday January 26, 2026 from 5p-7p at Goldfinch Funeral Homes Beach Chapel 11528 Frontage Rd, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
