Daisy-May Handwerk Obituary

Daisy-Mae Andrews Handwerk, age 85, wife of the late Rev. Lamar Handwerk, of Myrtle Beach, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026.

Mrs. Handwerk was born May 22, 1940 in Slatington, PA, a daughter of the late Harvey and Elsie Eckhart Andrews. She was active in the church activities at St. Peters United Church of Christ Seemsville, Lower Saucon United Church of Christ, Zion U.C.C. Stroudsburg, and Harford Congregational U.C.C. where her husband served as minister. She was active in the Hellertown Library in Hellertown, PA.

She loved to play bingo, enjoyed a good book, and loved to soak in the sun on the beach. Daisy-Mae was an avid quilt maker, loved to sew, crochet and embroider.

She is survived by a daughter, Natalie West and her husband, Mark; sons, Kevin Handwerk and his wife, Carol, and Steven Handwerk and his wife, Donna. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
