Toni Strange Obituary
Toni was born on September 14, 1948 in Danville VA to Willie and Mildred Shelton. She was a graduate of Tunstall High School class of 1966 and in 1969 graduated as a Registered Nurse from Danville Memorial School of Nursing. Throughout her years of nursing she worked in various fields including the NICU, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Home Health, and retired from the State of VA as a Public Health Nurse.
Throughout her life Toni was known for her avid faith and love for Christ, her love for her family, children, grandchildren, friends and her passion for nursing. She was an active member of Crowfield Baptist Church in Goose Creek SC where she served in the choir, her ladies group Hearts of Joy and many other ministries. She enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach.
Toni is survived by her husband Jim Strange of Cross SC, her two sons Scott Richardson of Dry Fork VA, Keith Richardson, his wife Crystal of Keeling VA, three grandsons Austin, Jacob, Matt, and great grandson Alaster. Her daughter Jessica Brezeale, her husband Danny and grandson Maddux of Moncks Corner SC. Her sister Vickie Camm, her husband Casey of Myrtle Beach SC her nephew Justin Belcher of Roanoke VA his son Logan, her niece Samantha Arnn, her husband Mark and their daughter Maclynn of Taylors SC. Toni is preceded in death by her Father Willie David Shelton and Mother Mildred Merricks Shelton of Danville VA.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Saturday May 16, 2026 at 10:30 at Crowfield Baptist Church in Goose Creek SC.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Crowfield Baptist Church: Student Leadership University 301.
