Robert Deschaine Obituary

Born on August 7th, 1965, in Charleston, SC, to Janice Swift and Robert Deschaine, Rob was a proud graduate of Summerville High School. Following graduation, he honorably served six years in the United States Navy. He spent the remainder of his career as a skilled Journeyman Electrician, a trade that suited his lifelong talent for understanding how things worked. With the hands of a craftsman and the mind of an engineer, there was nothing Rob couldn't take apart, study, and always put back together, except for maybe plumbing.

Known affectionately as "Uncle Bert," he will be remembered most for his quick-wit and his quickness to lend a hand. He was at his happiest goofing around with the kids in the family, grilling a steak, tinkering with electronics, working on his ride, or out fishing.

He is survived by his partner, Tammy; his children, Megan and Hannah; and his beloved grandchildren, Lennon and Corvo. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends who will miss his unique spirit.

In lieu of a formal funeral, a celebration of life will be held the first weekend in August to honor his memory. Details regarding the time and location will be announced at a later date.
