Jason Maleckar Obituary

Celebration of Life for Jason Davish Maleckar.

At the young age of twenty, Jason went to be with our Lord on March 11, 2026, most likely wearing his favorite beanie and ready with a perfectly timed smart remark. To have known Jason was to know a young man who could find the irony and humor in any situation. He could always make you laugh. He had a knack for keeping everyone around him on their toes while never letting a serious moment pass without a well-placed joke or some sort of sarcasm.

Nevertheless, beneath that quick wit was a soul built on a strong Christian foundation with many Sunday mornings of ear flicks, pinches, and deathly stares from his momma in the choir loft.

Jason's life was a beautiful story of being 'chosen.' He was twice blessed, leaving behind a family that adored him. With two moms, a dad, and many siblings, his life in the Maleckar household was always full of excitement as well as chaos. Although his time on Earth was far too short, he filled those twenty years with enough personality, teasing and love to last many lifetimes. Whether he was tucked under his beanie or just making his family laugh (or roll their eyes) he was a constant reminder of how much joy one person can bring to this world. He will surely be missed.

Jason is survived by his parents Chris and MacKel Maleckar as well as his mom Christy Davis. His siblings include his four brothers Alic Carrington (Valary), Cooper Jordan Carrington, Christian Maleckar, and Conley Maleckar; his two sisters Victoria (Tori) Fischer and Addason Morgan; his grandparents Gammy (Judy) and Poppy (Mack) Ousley and Grandma Virginia (Jenny) Verbarg; plus, many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. And let's not forget, a collection of beanies that will never look quite as good on anyone else.

While we will still miss his wit and his presence every single day, we find peace in knowing that he is finally in the presence of our Lord…likely explaining to the angels why he misbehaved in Pappy's Sunday school class as often as he did.
