Melissa Ericksen Obituary
Melissa was born in New Brunswick, NJ and attended Philadelphia College of Art. She was employed for many years at the State of Pennsylvania before retiring and moving south where she began a second career as a veterinary technician.
She enjoyed many hobbies, including showing and breeding Pembroke Welsh Corgis, cultivating orchids, knitting and travel. Melissa and her beloved corgis won many ribbons and awards over the years at regional and national AKC shows. She was a respected member and former officer of the Palmetto Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club.
A private ceremony will be held at a time as yet to be determined. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to your local animal shelter.

We were corgi lovers too. And got our 3 corgis from Melissa. Truly saddened by this news. She was always so kind and loving to her corgis. Our Corgis have crossed the rainbow bridge, We had then 13-14 years. We loved them dearly. They truly brought us joy!. If in need of corgi care please contact us. Condolences to all of her family.

We got our third Pembroke Corgi from Melissa in 2003--his name was Kelsey and he lived to be 16.5. Throughout the years, we kept in touch with Melissa and she was a great source of information when the going got rough at times with the corgis. We will miss her, but we know she is just across the Rainbow Bridge with Kelsey, his sister Margaret, and all the corgis & other dogs that Melissa loved and nurtured.
