Dianne “Fitt” Obituary

Ms. Dianne Jenkins Simms, 73 was born on December 5,1952, in Greenville, SC to the late Aileen Brown, departed this life on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at her home.

She attended Lincoln Street Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville and retired from Prisma Health System.

Dianne loved her family and friends. She showed her love for her family by being there for them when they needed her and cooking meals for her family and friends in the neighborhood. In her spare time, she loved watching wrestling, hosting wrestling parties, playing "Bingo" and shopping at the "boutiques" with her friends.

Left to cherish Dianne's memory a son, Danny (Audra) Simms; daughter, Samantha Simms; seven grandchildren, Audreanna Henderson, Khadijah Rice, Janaesia Simms, Jordan, Solange, Sergio and Aliyah Williams all of Greenville, SC; four great-grandchildren, Jayden Henderson, Aneisha Rice, Aubrielle Simms and Xyiana Fleming all of Greenville, SC; two siblings, Eugene Jenkins and Fracilla (Jackie) Foster both reside in Greenville, SC; and some nieces and nephews from the Evans and Simms families; as well as a host of other relatives in the Shepard, Tolliver, Simms & Richardson families; and her two buddies, Rickey Brown & Stan.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her father, James Brown; her husband, Dan Simms; and her grandson, Maurice "Trey" Dillard.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, followed by the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be held in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
