Robert Trapp Obituary

Robert Lee Trapp passed away on October 6, 2022 at Wellmore of Tega Cay Skilled Nursing Facility. Robert was born February 17, 1955 in Portsmouth, Virginia, the son of Ellerbe and Julialee Trapp.

An honors graduate of Clemson University and Johns Hopkins University, Bob enjoyed a successful career as an Electrical Engineer. He was first employed for 18 years at JHU Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD and later spent 15 years at Motorola Integrated Information Systems and General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems in Scottsdale, AZ.

Bob faithfully served in his local church as Bible Study teacher, deacon, and musician. Upon retirement, he enjoyed operating amateur radio and spending time with family.

Bob is survived by his wife, Donna, three children, Philip, Bethany and Sarah, two grandsons, Jonathan David and Oliver Dean, all of Fort Mill and two brothers, Richard Trapp of Little Mountain, SC and William Trapp of Kingsport, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial will be privately held for family.

Charitable contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.

Palmetto Funeral Home of Fort Mill is serving the family.

Bob stayed at our home when he amen to see Donna at Winthrop. Donna was with a singer group at Sylvia Circle Baptist Church in Rock Hill while in college. On Saturday morning Bob would watch cartoons on TV with our 6 year old son.such great memories. Love you Donna

I went to high school and church with both Bob and Donna. They were wonderful people as were their parents and siblings. Sorry for his last year of suffering. He is resting peacefully now! He has his run the good race and is at the feet of Jesus.

I went to Hanahan High School with both Bob and Donna. We attended church at Highland Park Baptist. He was such a good Christian young man. My prayers go up for his family and friends.
