Kathleen Futch Obituary

Kathleen Frances Futch, 74, widow of Marion Humphrey Futch, Jr., died Wednesday, February 11, 2026 in Carolines Cottage.

Mrs. Futch was born on December 15, 1951 in San Francisco, CA. She is the daughter of the late Delbert Lee Curl and Patricia Fern Austin.

Kathleen worked for over 32 years as a civil service employee including many years at MCAS Beaufort, and Parris Island.

Upon her retirement in 2015 she became a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society. She also enjoyed attending concerts, knitting and crocheting, crafting, and puzzles. She also loved walking her dogs, spending time outdoors and playing with her great grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters, Dori (James) Shelton, Stefanie Futch Thomas and Natalie Futch Joyner; one brother, Robert Austin and one sister, Cozette McGuire; five grandchildren, Reagan (Kaleb) Harper, Tyler Shelton, Jonathan Shelton, Bryan (Che'la) Stewart, and Hailey Hardee; and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11:00am in Carl Anderson Memorial Chapel with interment in Beaufort National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers family suggests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or the American Cancer Society.
