Hartsville - Funeral services for Harrison Ford III will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul AME Church in Georgetown, South Carolina. The burial will follow in the church's cemetery directed by Hines Funeral Home, Inc. of Hartsville. Reverend Rubin Smalls will officiate the service. Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Final Rites and final Masonic Rites will be conducted on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 6- 8 pm at the Gilbert Hines Memorial Chapel in Hartsville.

Mr. Ford was born March 19, 1956 in Georgetown County, South Carolina, a son of Nervelee Milton Ford and Harrison Ford, Jr. He was educated in the public schools of Georgetown County and graduated from Chopee High School in 1974. He continued his education at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina and graduated from there in 1978.

He was employed for many years at Florence/Darlington Technical College as a Physical Facilities Director. He was a member of the Florence Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and was a longtime member of the Sandy Bluff Masonic Lodge of Bishopville. In his spare time, he was a member of the Plantersville Hunting Club.

Surviving to cherish the memory of Harrison Ford, III include his wife, Loretta W. Ford; his two sons, Leonard (Tondaleya) Jackson and Thomas James Ford; his daughter, Alicia (Ryan) Jackson; his brothers, Marshall Ford, Jackie Ford, and Michael Ford; his sisters, Linda Ford and Janice Ford; one grandchild; his stepmother, Helen Ford and a host of other relatives and very ear friends.
