Brenda Howell Obituary

Brenda Gale Howell was born on August 5, 1955 in Georgetown, South Carolina and passed away in Sarasota, Florida on January 5, 2025. She was 69 years old and is survived by her father, Aaron Earl Howell, Sr.; her brother, A. Earl Howell, Jr; and her son, Aaron E. Howell, III; as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and other extended family. She graduated from Georgetown High School in 1972. She leaves behind many friends and colleagues in Washington, D.C., Miami, Sarasota, Asheville, and Georgetown, SC. Brenda worked as a Special Agent for the Immigration & Naturalization Service for over three decades and was proud of her record of public service as a law enforcement officer. In retirement, she enjoyed life in Florida, spending time with family and was often seen walking her beloved dogs. Brenda died from advanced mantle cell lymphoma, and the family suggests that her memory be honored by a donation to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society. In life, she was smart, courageous, tenacious, and always fought for justice. She will be missed dearly.
