Hailee Autumn Shackelfurd, 31, of
Beaufort, SC died Monday, March 16, 2026.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 23, 2026 from 12 noon to 2:00pm at Anderson Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow on Monday at 2:30pm in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Hailee was born on June 9, 1994 in
Fairfield, CA. She is the daughter of Donn R. Shackelfurd and Marcella Friese Shackelfurd.
Sunflowers are nature's quiet miracles, existing as golden mirrors of the sun. They are famously devoted to the light, but their true magic is found in the shadows; on gray, sightless days, they turn their faces toward one another, sharing their gathered warmth so that none must wither alone. Hailee was the sunflower that others instinctively leaned toward. She was the one who expended her own glow until she had nothing left to give, resting only in the briefest of silences before rising again to offer that same unwavering strength to those she loved.
Hailee was a woman of vibrant layers. To Travis Belflower, she was a devoted partner; to Marci and Donn Shackelfurd, a cherished daughter; and to her older brother, Preston, younger brother Camden, and baby brother Trenton, the spirited second-born child who held her own. She stepped into her many roles with a natural grace that made everyone feel seen.
She was the kind of woman who could weep with you over a Taylor Swift lyric one moment and then relentlessly "kick your ass" in a simple game the next. And let's be honest, she would not let up until she triumphantly won.
Born in California and raised in South Carolina, Hailee's competitive fire was evident early on. Her parents channeled that energy into softball, cheer, soccer, and gymnastics-sports she didn't just play, but of course, dominated. That same magnetic energy followed her into her work at Dockside. More than just a job, it was a second home where patrons became family, asking for her by name year after year, drawn to her effortless warmth and sharp wit.
Hailee never knew the meaning of the word "stranger." From the aisles of the grocery store to the halls of Beaufort High School, her bright aura acted as a beacon. People of all ages were drawn to her nurturing presence, often finding themselves following her lead without even realizing it.
While she wore many hats, Hailee was truly born to be a mother. Her children, Haiden (10) and Oleander (6), were the center of her universe. Intelligent, kind, and resilient, they are a living testament to a mother who never hesitated to put them first. Hailee poured her entire soul into their lives, turning every birthday and holiday into a royal celebration.
Fueled by a passionate wanderlust and a "wild child" heart, Hailee understood a truth many miss: that life is both precious and fragile. She lived with a steadfast strength and a carefree smile, treating every day as a gift. A true sun goddess in every sense of the phrase, she was known as "Brownie" by her dad, the first man she ever loved, for the sun-kissed tone her skin constantly emulated.
We will find her in the sudden kindness of a warm summer breeze, in the silver wake of birds soaring above, in the bright, defiant faces of sunflowers blooming in the most unexpected places, and in the breaking waves, which leave behind a dusting of sea-spray-a brief, bright hello from her to you. She is not gone; she is simply everywhere the light touches.
Surviving in addition to her parents; are one son, Oleander Bruce Anglin-Shackelfurd and one daughter, Haiden Bradley Anglin-Shackelfurd; three brothers, Preston Shackelfurd, Camden Shackelfurd and Trenton Shackelfurd; and her fiance Travis Belflower.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Hailee's gofundme for her and her children.
