Yvette, had such a beautiful spirit. She was one of the first people I met when we started out working at the food stamp office "up the road". Her family was equally as welcoming to me, Miss Eartha Mae, Yvonne, Chita, Ro, Freddie and the rest of the Whaley family. I could easily see where her love of people came from, I miss my friend but I know she is in a better place taking her rest with our Father in heaven.

To my "Other Half"
Vet, I miss you sooo much words cannot express the pain I feel.
I love you dearly. I still can't believe you're gone. I remember , oh so many late night converstions we had (and I smile), as well as my many visits to Charlotte, and your visits to be with me and my family in Columbia. I know people say, "Time heal all Wounds", but this void I feel is so hard for me to put into words. All I can say is that I love you sooo much.
My heart aches, as I think of you constantly....
I know you are in a better place, smiling down on us.
I will always pray for you, Hilary and our entire family, as I know we will find peace and solace in the days ahead.
God Bless you, and I LOVE YOU FOREVER!!
Love Your "Other Half",

Vette, baby I will miss you dearly. As you know from the early days of your wonderful life, you and your twin sister Von, were always two of my favorite people. During the time when you and Von were toddlers and I used to baby-sit you all and your older siblings, it gave me great joy to be in charge and thus to be protective of my cute little nieces and my handsome nephew Rusty. As the original and main baby-sitter I became quite adept at navigating and maneuvering you and Von's twin baby stroller. Remember the running joke between you, Von and I, "Do you mind ??? Rest in peace, sweet baby!!!

Dearest family,
My heart aches incessantly because of the loss of our "Vette", for she was not only my sister-in-law, but my sister and beloved friend. So many bittersweet memories of our 35 years together come to mind. We shared so very much! The boys say that their lives were enriched and made so much better by her steadfast love, wisdom, and care. Family, in spite of our loss we must find comfort in God's promises and look to the Hills from where our help comes (Psalm 121). We now have, yet, another angel in heaven to look over us! It is not good-bye, my dear sister...but "see you later"!
"When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight." ~Kahlil Gibran
