William Kennedy Obituary

KENNEDY, William Entered into eternal rest on the evening of November 5, 2007, William Leonard Kennedy. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services at the graveside in St. Lawrence Cemetery ten o'clock Friday, November 9, 2007. Mr. Kennedy was born May 1, 1932 in Charleston, SC, the son of John Joseph Kennedy and Kathryn Leonard Kennedy. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Bishop England High School and attended Belmont Abbey and The Citadel. He then served with the United States Army. Mr. Kennedy was a member of the Charleston County Council for 12 years, the Exchange Club of Charleston, James Island Public Service District and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by two daughters: Kathryn Kennedy deOgburn of Charleston, SC and Cynthia Kennedy of Charleston, SC; one son: William Leonard Kennedy, Jr. of Johns Island, SC; one brother: Martin Kennedy of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his former wife, Mary O'Neal and three grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Charleston County Volunteer Rescue Squad, c/o Chief Bobby Herbert, P.O.
