William Durst Obituary

I have known Will's parents for over 40 years, Will and his brothers since they were little guys, have very little time knowing Allison and only know of the little ones through William and Mary over the years. I am so overwhelmed by this knowledge of Will's death that I have been so remiss in acknowledging your family grief. I could not let Christmas pass without reaching out to each and all of you and assuring you of my prayers for peaceful repose of your dear Will's soul and your consolation.

Mr. and Mrs. Durst, I was sorry to hear of your son untimely passing from Elizabeth and Sarah (previously Knight) your family will be in our prayers.

Dearest Allison-There are now words to express the shock of knowing that Will has transitioned. What a wonderful spirit he had. In the coming days, when things quiet down...know that I am available however you have need of me.

I was blessed to know Will from grade school. We met at church & schooled together at COKSM all the way through BE. His wonderful & thoughtful character was solid from the time he was a young boy. I only have fond memories of the kind hearted person he was. When my Grandpa was near the end of his life, his favorite thing was to go to Publix and see his friends who worked there. Will was always so gracious and loving towards him, generous with hugs & kind words of support. The world will not be the same without his light and warm heart. My heart is with his entire family. May your hearts be at peace knowing heaven gained a powerful angel who will cover you all your days on Earth. May Will rest in eternal love.

I had the pleasure of working with Will as soon as he walked in to the room he was a ray of sunshine he just had away of making you smile no matter how bad you were feeling you will be missed

Will was an amazing manager at the Piggly Wiggly in Seaside Farms. I had the please of working with Will for nearly five years. Will always went out of his way to make sure that every person visiting the Charleston area passing through to get groceries for the week on their vacation felt a touch of southern hospitality. Over the years we would see each other at church and at work, and he was always someone who went out of his way to help those around him. He will be truly missed.

My heart felt sympathy to the Durst family. It was always a pleasure to work with Will. He had a sense of humor which I believe went unnoticed by many. He will be missed.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Will was an Awesome Coworker and a friend. We had many laughs together about life and kids. I will miss him dearly.

Though I didn't know Will incredibly well at Franciscan University, there was no doubt that he was an amazing, caring human being. I am certain he will be interceding for all of you in Eternity.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Will at Piggly Wiggly. Years later we reconnected at Publix at Cane Bay. He always had a smile when he saw me and we always chatted about our families. I will miss him and my thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

Will was my household brother in college and always had a smile on his face, a corny joke, and a way of making everyone he talked to feel important and seen. He is one of the greats, and I’m so sad to see his amazing life cut short. So many prayers for his family!

I am so sorry to learn of Will´s sudden entry to eternal life. I am praying for his eternal repose and for all the family that i have had the honor to know for 40 years when our Daughters of St Paul community started in Charleston. My heart hurts with yours. Sending much love and prayer.
