Judith was born on September 27, 1939, in Barnwell, SC, daughter of the late Pearl and Tolton Braxton. She was a longtime resident of Summerville and retired from Dorchester County School District Two, where she dedicated many years of service.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering love shaped the lives of all who knew her. Judith was a founding member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, attended Lydia Baptist Church, and a proud member of Milcah Temple No. 77, Daughters of the Nile.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her dedicated caregivers and to Agape Hospice for their compassion, support, and kindness throughout her illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital (https://donate.shrinerschildrens.org › give) or Lydia Baptist Church, 520 E Owens Drive, Summerville, SC 29485.
