Mrs. Baylor,
My heart shares your grief at the loss of your dear husband. I can only echo the many sentiments already expressed regarding his abiding love of people--all people. His calm, gentle nature and that endearing, charming smile of his will be long remembered by all who ever met him. My prayers remain with you and your family.

Words can not express the sadness we felt when we heard about Mr. Baylor. He was a wonderful man that loved his wife, children, family and life. Anyone that know him was truly blessed to have him touch their lives. You are in our prayers and thoughts. God bless you all.

I had the opportunity to work with Bill as a professional colleague on numerous occasions while I served as a Superintendent in Hampton District Two. He was professional in every way but went beyond platitudes in his care and concern for each person on the committee and for the success of all involved. It was my gain to have him as a friend and confidant as we traveled on our journey as educators. together on state committees developing personnel plans for the recruitment of teachers throughout the state.

Mr. Baylor will always be remembered. He was the principal when I was just a freshman @ Berkeley High Annex in 1977. He was my mother's classmate. He called me little Betty.

I only knew William in his capacity as one of the most outstanding person at the Berkeley County School System (Personnel Department), but that was enough to give me an appreciation for his talents, warmth and generosity of spirit. My husband and I are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Mr. Baylor. My fond memories of him is how he put me at ease when he interviewed me for my first job in the Berkeley County School System. Mr. Baylor's encouraging words will forever remain etched into my mind and spirit. He praised me for my accomplishments and taught me many valuable life lessons. I was always eager to share my successes with him and then watch as a big smile stretched across his face. He was instrumental in helping me to obtain my first teaching position, and he challenged me to strive for higher heights. As an administrator in Horry County Schools, I think of him often and will always remember him as a true motivator and role model.

It is our prayer that the love of God strengthens you and may you all continue to find comfort in the Holy Spirit. Bro Baylor is a Jewel that will forever be loved, respected and admired. Most of all, he'll be missed.

To the Baylor family: I worked with Bill many years ago at GCHS. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word, one of the finest, nicest persons I have ever known. May the wonderful memeories you have of him guide you through the years to come without him. We were lucky to have had him as long as we did. The world will be a little bit sadder without him.
