Wendell "Do" Phillip Middleton Charleston - Wendell "Do" Phillip Middleton, 89, departed for heaven last Wednesday night, April 18, 2018, in MUSC Hospital. His funeral will take place at 9:00am on Wednesday, April 25th in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fielding Funeral Home in Charleston, SC. Mr. Middleton was born in Charleston as the ninth of ten children to William H. and Anna Pierce Middleton. His sisters and brothers who preceded him in death include: Irma, Albert, Clarence, Gwendolyn, Louise, William, and Caroline. Mr. Middleton was a graduate of Burke High School. He will be remembered as a caring and admirable person with a delightful smile and captivating laugh. He was a true guardian of his nieces and nephews, who grew up in Charleston, and a kind uncle who always attended and supported any event they participated in.
