Giles Family:
I am saddened to learn of Waddell’s passing. I met Waddell during the 1980's while managing the Charleston Minority Business Development Center. One of the first things he let you know that he was from Pittsburg PA. Waddell’s telecommunication was one of the premier businesses we served. We were able to assist his company in landing several phone center contracts at military installations across the region. Waddell was a strong advocate and promoter of economic opportunity for African-American companies in the Southeastern United states. In fact, the company was recognized by The US Department of Commerce for their innovation and success. I considered him a friend and a person who played integral part in shaping my business acumen during the early years. His job now done but his legacy will live on. May your family find peace in his remembrance.

I worked with Wardell at Trident Technical College and considered him a
gentleman. He was always in good spirits and enjoyed interacting with fellow employees. Wardell had a wonderful voice and there were many fabulous opportunities to hear him sing at the college. He will most certainly be missed. My condolences to the entire family. Jim Haskell

Juanita,
I don't know where to start. Wardell fought a couragous battle. He will be missed by many. You know I'm only a phone call away. As hard as this time may be, allow the memories you shared together bring comfort.
