A loving tribute to my Puddin.
From the moment we laid eyes on you as an angelic baby. We all loved you.
When you arrived at our home in New York you became the apple of all of our eyes. You were one of the best babies we had ever taken care of you did not cry. Mother, your godfather, Aunty Verna, Tricia, Micheal and I thought you were a doll baby. We all enjoyed dressing you up and buying dolls, toys, clothing and anthing that we felt you needed. It was such joy dress you up take you out have people say what we knew. She is a pretty little girl.
As you became a mother and was faithful to your two sons, I am sure you experienced the joy of raising them. As we did raising you. YOU WERE FAITHFUL to them to a fault. Love is often like that.
YOU WERE FAITHFUL to GOD. After accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior YOU WERE FAITHFUL to the churches you served at. Be it sing, playing the drums, taking care of the younger children or just being comical. YOU WERE FAITHFUL.
Where ever you were employed YOU WERE FAITHFUL.
At attempting to get the family together to just have GODLY fun YOU WERE FAITHFUL. Thank God for this past summer the family gathering at your house in Charleston for seafood and fun. As usual you were the drama queen.
As a baby when you were ill you did not complain. One knew you were ill by signs and symptoms. At the end you were the same way.
You have made me laugh, cry, doing the big girl dance and so much more. YOU WERE FAITHFUL in our phone calls.
But the greatest call of all came on that faithful wednesday morning when our Lord and Savior called you home. I could not look at you in the casket even though I was there to help pick it out for you. The pleasure I had was in being able to be a godmother to the very end and to be a part in your looking like a doll baby to the very end. Everyone said you looked so pretty. Mr. Murray really had a doll to dress, not a job to do. Aunty Verna went shopping for you the very day you were called home. You know I had to make the rounds to the stores for the rests of our dollbaby's HOME GOING CELEBRATION outfit. I look at your pictures and my heart ache that I will not pick up the phone and hear you on the other end saying Godmother let me tell you...Ha Ha Ha... That 'll learn ya....
My heart rejoices knowing that because of your faithfulness as His rightousness you are resting in the ARMS OF THE LORD. I will always love you Puddin. With all my love,Godmother!!!!

Ms. Wanda! Ms. Wanda! Ms. Wanda_ I am in SHOCK!!!!!!! I know that as we all are born, we must die. But not Ms. Wanda. All I can say to Trevor and Deon, look to the hills from whence cometh your help. Because that is where your help is gonna come from. I can't even say that I know how you feel, because that would be the untruth. But I will say that my heart goes out to you boys and I will be lifting you two up in prayers.

What is Heaven Like? Revelation 7:9-17, After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a mighty shout, "Salvation comes from our God on the throne and from the Lamb!" Jesus will give this family all it needs

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To the Heyward Family and friends,
My deepest heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I did not know Wanda personally, although it felt as if I did as Linda Monroe was always sharing funny moments and stories about "puddin". Chelle, I really can't believe you are gone! It's so surreal we just spoke on your birthday I keep waiting for the punchline of one of your jokes. This past week I kept remembering the last time we saw each other at Zan's house. You was cutting up and dancing all around the house! We laughed so much it hurt, but then again, thats how it always went when we were together. The only solace I have is that you are with God and free from pain. Tell Gram, Uncle Mikey and Terri I said hello and watch over me as they are now. Love you cuz!

Michelle...
Writing these words is not easy because this makes this real, but not final. Because as much as my heart aches to hear your voice I know that you are resting with my saviour and your saviour. I remember our last phone call (on your birthday) you sounded soo tired. Rest now Michelle until forever.

Tears start to flow as I think about this untimely departure of my cousin. Michelle, I can easily sit back and think of all the laughing and joking we used to do when our family would come to Aunt Mary's house. It was always fun times when me, you (Michelle),Estelle, Zan and Kerry would be upstairs picking at each other. Oh how I miss those days. I love you Michelle. Now you are free of pain and bondage. Have fun Chelle, keep 'em laughing up there. I'll see you one day. Then we will sit back and laugh (again), but this time our Heavenly Father will enjoy them too.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
